After completing a degree in business administration and business computing in Ravensburg and Rendsburg, Olaf Heyden, born 1963, first spent nearly eight years in different positions at Deutsche Aerospace AG/Dornier GmbH. In early 1994 he moved to E-Plus in Potsdam as head of the information management division.
From January 1996 through February 1998, Heyden was manager of the customer-oriented information systems division at T-Mobile. In 1998 he departed for EDS Informationstechnologie and Service GmbH in Rüsselsheim, where his last role was Senior Vice President of Operations for business process management in Europe and Africa.
Heyden came to Deutsche Telekom AG on June 1, 2000 as head of the Invoicing and Customer Payments division. In May of 2004, he was named head of the Billing & Collection division, which develops and operates solutions for billing and receivables management for both internal and external markets.
Being a member of T-Systems’ Board of Management, since January 2005, Heyden led the IT Operations unit of T-Systems International which serves about 60 multinational corporations and large public institutions till March 2008. Since April 1, 2008, he is responsible for the new division ICT Operations.
